As I write this, the winds from hurricane Joaquin have started and I know that they will only get worse as the day goes by. The closest point will be at 8 pm tonight as per last update from the weather service. The only good thing is that it has not been predicted to be a direct hit like Gonzalo was. That was scary. Right now I wish I was Leo Jr, he has no idea what is about to happen.
There is little else to do than wait so I decided to finish the book I was reading: “Back on Blossom Street” by Debbie Macomber and review it here on the blog.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was easy to read and it made me feel sad and happy all at the same time.
The story centres around a yarn store where a group of women meet for a knitting class once a week. They each are making a prayer shawl. The book has a pattern for a shawl at the beginning. The book focuses on Lydia(the yarn store owner), Alix(who is having a wedding) and Colette(who has run away from her previous boss and is keeping her pregnancy a secret).
