Crochet
I do not like Bermuda summers. It is hot, humid and I sweat like a pig. My favourite season is spring when it is sunny and breezy. This year I find myself looking forward to winter. Our winter are just cool weather, we rarely need to wear actual winter clothes. It not unusual though to see someone wearing their full winter gear. I guess if you buy it they you must wear it. It does get cool enough to wear a light weight beanie or silk scarf.
Have you ever noticed how much more laundry you get to do in winter? With all that layering you do, laundry just seems to pile up so fast. Thankfully I do not have to hand wash a lot of the clothes because I am terrible at hand washing. My sister had to wash my clothes for me when I was in Zimbabwe. I have never been good at hand washing.
I love winter, I get to eat and cook a lot of soup. A lot of heart warming soup. Chopping vegetables is therapeutic for me.
And tea. Rooibos tea with lemon or milk. Any time of the day even for lunch. Tea warms me up so good.
I gave away all my crochet and knitted stuff when I went to Zimbabwe so I am making some more stuff for myself. I need a couple of hats and scarves. I decided to make this headband for myself with some yarn in my stash. For this project you do not need a lot of yarn and time. It literally took me about thirty minutes with Leo pulling on me. It makes a perfect beginner project and can be adjusted to any size.
