I am wanting to try making your Indian Restaurant Style Rice. I was wondering about the step where I combine the rice with the spices. Just like your blog, in my mind I am not seeing the water fully cooking down in 10 minutes. Do I use a slotted spoon to scoop out the rice from the water? I’m sorry I feel quite ignorant asking but I just want to make sure I understand right.

I haven’t had that issue yet. You would need to change them like after 6 months or so.

Yes you need to scoop out the rice before mixing with the spices.
