Sometime last year I saw these animal magnets on Pinterest, I pinned them because they were cute. At the time I did not need fridge magnets so I did not bother with them. AT my church my son attends cradle roll class which caters for newborns to three years. Each Sabbath they have a lesson and do a craft and sing songs. my son at the moment can not do anything but listen so I do the craft for him until he is able. I want to be able to display these crafts every week so I decided to make the animal magnets especially since I already had all the supplies except for the magnets. This is a fun project that you can do with your kids as well.
For these magnets you will need:
- plastic animals
- paint
- glue
- magnets
- paint brush
Instructions
The plastic animals look like this.
Cut the plastic animals into two.
Paint the animals and leave them to dry.Mine were hollow so I glued a card to it which I then trimmed.
Glue the magnets to the bottom of each animal and the glue to dry.I realised our fridge was not magnetic so I could not use it so I spray painted a metallic tray I found at the thrift store. Here is the before and after picture.
