My husband does not like pasta or cheese so we do not get to that often at home. It is just not his favourites, he is a more rice and beef guy. I on the other hand love pasta and cheese. When we go out I usually choose that.
I really wish I could cook pasta more often especially because pasta is budget friendly. This recipe is really easy and uses things that you most likely have at home. I all for recipes that use inexpensive and easy to find ingredients.
Easy Pasta Bake
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Total Time 1 hour 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 pound cooked pasta
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Sauté the onions in the oil for about 8 minutes on medium high heat. Add the garlic. Add the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, cumin and paprika. Cook until beef is browned.

Add the tomatoes and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Stir in the cooked pasta.

Pour the pasta mixture into a 9×13 pan and spread out with a spatula.Sprinkle with cheese. Place in the oven for 30 minutes or until the edges are bubbling and the cheese has fully melted.
