My mom has perfect skin and all she does is use vaseline on her face and whatever soap she is using. Unfortunately she did not pass on those genes to me. I have struggled with acne from maybe thirteen until now. I used to get cystic acne especially on my forehead and it was painful. I went to a dermatologist when I was in high school who told me to use tea tree oil. It helped but I would still get the acne.
Over the years I have been trying different things and my face looks the best it has in my adult life. To be honest I am not sure if it is the combination of products and habits that have changed my skin or I just outgrew the acne. My mom would always say that I would outgrow it. There maybe a chance that maybe the reason I do not get as much acne. I really don’t know. What I can say is, I like how my skin feels and looks now.
My routine is quite simple. I really do not have the patience to use a million products to look good. That is why I hardly wear makeup. As long as I look “presentable”, I am ok. I always feel like I can use the extra 15 minutes to do something that I enjoy. like a chapter in a book or sleep in. I know, I am kinda lazy.
I use these products on regular basis
#1 St Ives Apricot Scrub
I use this scrub every other day and it helps my skin feel refreshed and smooth.
#2 St Ives Green Tea Gel Cleanser
I use this on the spin brush and it gently cleanse and exfoliates my face.
#3 Tea tree oil
I use this as a toner to cleanse my pores.
#4 Freeman Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask
I use this mask once or twice a week to deep clean and purify my skin.
#5 Coconut Oil
I use the coconut oil to moisturise my skin. I use the coconut oil to clean my face as well especially if I have worn any makeup.
I also take a multivitamin and a probiotic everyday. I tried the hair, skin, and nails vitamins before and they made me sick so I stopped, this was before I had Leo. Plus they were expensive!
