I do not buy bread anymore. I make two loaves per week now. Leo Jr loves bread so much that I am pretty sure he is half bread right now. After baking bread, if I leave it where he can reach, he takes a big chunk out, kuita zvekunyobvora chaiko. Unless if I tell him it is still hot, then he will wait for me to cut him a slice.
I needed a better storage place than the baking tin. I found out that the French store their bread in a linen bag. Just a pillow case for the bread that you tie with a string or you attach a drawstring. Takes about 10 minutes or two weeks if you procrastinate like me, lol.
You will need about 1/2 a yard of linen or canvas cloth or you can use two linen dishcloths. If you are using fabric, cut into a rectangle 20 inches by 12 inches sew into a pillow, finishing all the edges. Also remember to hem the top. You could use fabric glue if you do not have a sewing machine or just want to save time.
I decided to write BREAD on my bread bag. Totally unnecessary but I enjoyed doing it.
A great idea would be to bake someone a loaf of bread and put it in a bread bag.
Remember to share your pictures if you make one.
