I love to read, period! Anything I can get my hands on really, it can be short or long, digital or print, English or Shona(because those are the only languages I can read ), real or fiction. Reading allows you to dream and imagine the impossible. To me reading is a gift that I intend to pass on to my son.
I am building my son a library, however there are no children’s books in my native Shona at least that I know of. Granted, I could buy the books that do not have words in them and make up stories in Shona but I want my son to be able to read and write Shona as well as English. I decided to write books for my son to read in Shona and this is the first book I have completed. Michero, which means fruits is a counting book that teaches children how to read from one to ten in Shona. The book is available free as an eBook as well as a hard copy which you have to pay for. Feel free to preview the book below:

This is really good. Back to the basics! Will be sure to pick up a copy for my kids.
You are so talented! I followed your wall art instructions for Zimbabwe Independence Day. I have to say it’s my favourite piece of art. So glad I found your blog. I am trying to learn Shona before I move back to Harare. I may have to start with these children’s books, hey! x
Thanks! Will be posting a new book soon so keep checking back.
