I took a break. I did not plan to take a break from blogging. It just kind of happened and before I knew it, it was three months. I still made things but just did not feel like sitting on the computer to write. I do hope you are still around to read, cook and craft with me.
If you have been around here for a long time then you know I love peanuts and peanut butter. If you are Zimbabwean then you are not surprised by how much I use peanut butter in all my dishes, savoury and sweet. I was almost convinced that Zimbabweans invented peanut butter, we did not. I haven’t found out when peanuts were introduced to Zimbabwe or Southern Africa. Let me know if you do.
Have you had maputi nenzungu? Well this recipe for peanut butter popcorn has the same vibe. It is delicious and easy to make. Kids will enjoy making this and eating the popcorn as well.
Peanut Butter Popcorn
Peanut Butter flavoured popcorn
Ingredients
- 6 cups popcorn popped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup peanut butter
Instructions

Make popcorn using your preferred method.

In medium saucepan combine sugar, peanut butter and corn syrup. Bring to boil over medium high heat stirring frequently. Remove from heat.

Pour over popcorn and stir until well coated.
