Growing up in Zimbabwe where we have only two seasons(winter and summer) never could understand what the fuss about spring was. The winters in Bermuda are not cold but there is a lot of rain (thunderstorms) and very little sun. For me spring means I can grow my container garden again. Last year I tried a few things, tomatoes, kale, pumpkin, parsley, cilantro, mustard(tsunga) and chives.See picture below:
It actually was very successful as I didn’t have to buy parsley for a while.
This year because of limited place to place the pots I have decided to do just herbs namely chives, parsley, basil and mint. I am really thinking of adding rosemary and sage into the mix. They are only two weeks old so not fully grown yet.
Chives
Mint
Parsley and Basil
I just pray that this year I will be as successful as last year.
Do you like to grow your own vegetables and or herbs? If you do let me know what you like to grow and how you do it. We can exchange ideas and so forth.
