This blog post is a continuation from last week’s post that listed the things that you would need to start sewing.
When I started sewing a few years ago, I found out I could find tutorials and patterns on-line. I actually bought my machine because I wanted to line the knitted bags I was making. I found out that I actually enjoyed sewing as well.
Here are a few sewing websites I go to for inspiration and tutorials:
I found this website while looking for bag patterns and tutorials and found that Rae has many other tutorials for children’s and women’s clothes. Her instructions are easy to follow and clear. She now has a fabric line as well!
Mimi G Style
Image from Mimi G StyleMimi G has some awesome videos that make sewing for beginners easy. Some of her tutorials are free and others are paid for. Mimi has great styling ideas too.
Joanne is really talented! I want to be like her when I grow up! I especially love her sock animal toys, each time she comes up with one cuter than the one before. If you want to make soft toys for your children check out her website.
Erica makes her own clothes, she is really good and I just love to see her clothes even when I am no where near where she is.
I love searching for sewing and crafting ideas on Pinterest because it is visual.
