Tsubvu Fatcooks

Fatcooks are one of my favourite Zimbabwean food creation. They are fast and easy like most food from Zimbabwe. I am not alone because the  recipe is one of the most popular recipes here.

I also love making flavoured fatcooks, I have done pumpkin and chocolate chip fatcooks before. Tsubvu fatcooks were an almost no-brainer. 

I really should not admit to how many I actually ate. Everyone was skeptical but I had to taste what I made and THEY. ARE. SO. GOOD!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix the tsubvu puree and egg, add to the dry ingredients until combined. Do not over mix.
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan to 350F.
  3. Spoon the tsubvu mixture into oil about 2 minutes on each side. Drain on a paper towel.
  4. Serve warm with tea.
