Every week I wash and deep condition my hair religiously. I love my coloured hair but it gets dry. I love my moisturizer, it keeps my hair really soft but I am always trying to do more with my hair. I swear my hair would be longer but I am always doing something to it. I love to watch Youtube videos, I especially like the natural hair ones, I can watch them lets just say for a long time. One of my favourite Youtubers and hair crushes is Laila-Jean and last week she posted a video on how she uses yoghurt as a deep conditioner and face mask. So I decided to try it but just on my hair my face is very sensitive so I am going pass this time. I must say my hair feels really really soft. I think this is now my favourite deep conditioner!
This is how I made the deep conditioner
Yoghurt Deep Conditioner Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Greek yoghurt – I am sure you can use any full fat yoghurt
- 2 table spoon olive oil
- 2 table spoon molasses – I used molasses because I don’t have honey but both are humectants so you can use either I guess
Method:
Whip the yoghurt, olive oil and molasses until well mixed.
I apply the deep conditioner in sections and twist the sections. The conditioner also de-tangled my hair really well. I wore a plastic cap and let it sit for about 40 minutes and then shampooed and conditioned my hair.
This is the final result, my hair feels really soft and its shiny. My hair shrinks a lot but I don’t mind, I actually like it gives me more ways to wear it, although if I leave it in this state it becomes a tangled mess. Check my Facebook page tomorrow to see how I styled my hair.
