When I first found out about natural hair bloggers, I was following a lot of American and British bloggers. At the time there were not many bloggers from other nationalities that I knew of. Even though hair is hair, it makes a difference if the person teaching you understands you and knows the same things as you know. Someone you can ask a question in your own language and may have had that same question before.
In this list, I am going to share hair(natural, relaxed and in between) and beauty bloggers. I am sure I am going to miss some who largely do fashion and beauty. Fashion is not something that I am interested in so if I miss someone please let me know.
Phrophro
This was the first hair blog by a Zimbabwean that I followed. Great information! She now sells her own hair products under the brand B.Range and Aphro Comb oils. I will have to check but I believe you can find her products online, Zimbabwe, Australia, South Africa and the UK.
Everyday A Mum
Rumbidzai’s blog shares a bit of everything including natural hair care. She has a facebook page For Us Natural Hair Divas, where a lot of people( I believe mostly Zimbabweans) share their natural hair journey. It is a great community for getting inspiration.
Dephne Madyara
Dephne shares her natural hair journey on Youtube with over 70000 subscribers. She has long type 4 hair which most of us Zimbabweans have. She shares how she grew her hair long. She now has a beauty line, Natural for the Naturals. She is also a Christian book author and she also makes clothes.
Musoro Wangu
Musoro wangu means my head in Shona. Nyaradzo blogs about natural hair care and skin care. She interviews different women on her blog and shares her fitness journey on it. She is also a knitwear designer, I want to be like her when I grow up!
Kugeza nerunako naRuby Lyn
Ruby Lyn shares makeup tutorials on her facebook page as well as a Youtube Channel. She shares all the tutorials in Shona. Other people post their pictures asking for help or showing off what they can do as well.
Vault Cosmetics
This is not a blog but a cosmetics company by Jackie Mgido a makeup artist. I added this company here because it is a brand made by a Zimbabwean, the only makeup brand that I know of. I have not tried this brand so I can not tell you if it is any good but I have seen a lot of people who say it is. You can follow their social media accounts to see what it does.
Anisa Michael
Nisey’s blog is fairly new. I love her hair and her skin. Her tutorials on Youtube are great especially when you have an event to attend.
Carol Nyazika
Carol is a Zimbabwean hair and beauty blogger and Zimbabwean. while most of the bloggers are outside Zimbabwe she is in Zimbabwe. This gives her a perspective on hair and skin care that all the other bloggers mentioned here can not. I am still to try her products but those that have tried them say they are really good.
